Farmers Market on the move

16/05/2008 9:36:00 AM
There’s a change of venue this month for the Cowra Farmers Market.

Market manager Chris Galea said there will be two reasons to visit the Cowra Showground this weekend – the Cowra Gem and Collectors Fair and the Cowra Farmers Market.

“The Farmers Market will be held in the betting ring instead of the pavilion this Saturday because of the fair,” Ms Galea explained.

The venue change will not affect the range of produce that can be found at the market, and coming into season this month will be carrots, cauliflowers, cabbage, spinach, sweet potatoes and pumpkins.

There will also be the usual crafts and gourmet produce stalls, popular egg and bacon rolls, Art of Espresso coffee, honey, olives, lavender, garden ornaments and homemade sauces.

The Cowra Farmers Market will open at 8am on Saturday morning, in the Betting Ring at the Cowra Showground.
